Four people were wounded in the blast in Kabul which forced the T20 match to be halted temporarily, police and officials announced.
In a horrifying occurrence, a suicide blast occurred at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium during a Shpageeza Cricket League T20 match in the capital city of Kabul, Afghanistan.
The team members entered a bunker quickly and are all safe. The event happened during the game between the Band-e-Amir Dragons and the Pamir Zalmi. When the explosion happened, UN was at the stadium.
Every year in Afghanistan, the Afghanistan Cricket Board holds the Shpageeza Cricket League, a Twenty20 cricket competition. Eight franchises have been established for the Shpageeza competition, which features great athletes from each region as well as members of the national team, players from abroad, the “A” squad, and the under-19 team.
Additionally, by franchising every team in the league while allowing each team to choose its own players through a draft, ACB has given the league a distinct character.
The explosion occurred two days after one that went off near the entrance to Kabul’s Gurdwara Karte Parwan. There were no reported fatalities in the incident.
